Binance is looking for a Canada PR/Comms Director to join its global communications team. This is a full-time remote position. We are looking for candidates who come from the financial, crypto, blockchain and or fintech industry with mid-level experience leading communications and PR strategies on a multinational level.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee communications and PR throughout Canada including key provinces and territories; manage local agencies and PR managers
• Develop and execute internal and external communications plans around local market strategies; support all stages of communications from strategic messaging to dissemination
• Develop strong media relations and oversee media relations and corporate communications programs locally
• Lead on key announcements/write press releases, develop messaging documents and FAQs
• Execute thought leadership pieces and bylines; forecast industry news and trends
• Oversee speaking program and strategy regionally and locally
• Liaise with external teams and ensure alignment of global company messages and design/brand assets and identity
• Work with global/local marketing and community managers to build and execute integrated communications plans
• Develop local stories and campaigns across channels for localized strategies and messages; manage local and regional editorial calendars
• Crisis and reputation management with rapid decision-making with internal stakeholders and leadership team
• Conduct monthly and quarterly/half yearly reports
• Manage PR-related budgets

Requirements:

• Minimum of 7-8 years of relevant experience, ideally in finance, crypto, blockchain and or fintech sector
• In-house and or agency experience
• Proven ability to execute successful communication strategies across channels, managing a team
• Native English speaker with strong verbal and written communications in English
• Superior communications skills
• Experience in multinational companies or teams with understanding of unique Canadian territories and provinces
• Experience working with media/reporters, notably in the financial, business or cryptocurrency sector
• Able to work autonomously with minimal supervision and strong follow up skills; proactive and collaborative
• Excellent project management and organizational skills; able to prioritize and work under pressure
• Proficiency or experience in Google Workspace applications (Google Docs and Sheets)
• Works well in a fast-paced environment
