As part of our continuing expansion plans, we are looking to add to our leadership team that is focused on Binance's core trading operations business. The incoming Director of Exchange Operations will be responsible for building and running a team focused on growing and improving our exchange operations across the region.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for setting up new teams and local business operations across the region
• Run a small but efficient operations team across trading programs, treasury ops, liquidity management, etc.
• Monitor daily trading operational activities and coordinate between internal and external parties to resolve issues
• Partner with internal partners (Corporate Treasury, Compliance, Sales/Trading) to ensure the operational processes are enabling business growth in an efficient manner
• Structured risk management approach to enhance governance and structure of daily operations
• Assess business demands and provide overall solutions and implementation ideas
• Manage local teams across the region

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in investment banking / capital markets, ideally with experience or exposure to crypto exchange markets
• At least 3 years of experience managing a team
• Start-up experience across South-East Asia is ideal, with experience in scaling operations in both a 0 to 1 and a 1 to X environment
• Entrepreneurial mentality and ownership mindset
• Strong understanding of exchange operations and/or crypto trading business (order book, liquidity, trading rules reference data)
• Effective communicator
• Able to work independently, but also collaboratively with teams across different business units and regions
• Someone who is geographically mobile is advantageous as this role may require frequent travel and/or secondments to other countries in the region
