Binance is looking for a Compliance and Risk Leader for our Gibraltar business.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the effective implementation of overall risk strategy for the business
• Establish and implement an operational risk and governance framework to ensure a robust, controlled environment and create an operational KRI Matrix alongside different stakeholders
• Conduct regular audits and self-risk assessments for the business
• Identifying and implementing appropriate controls and risk mitigants
• Development and management of compliance policies and processes
• Ensure ongoing monitoring and reporting
• Coordinating various foreign regulatory filings
• Focusing on internal compliance policy review, including ongoing assessments, assisting with compliance review, internal audit reviews and ongoing or ad hoc reviews
• Act as a second line of defence to monitor, identify, measure and report all risk-related matters
• Guide the business on operational risk management
• Provide incident management oversight and support the business owners in responding to investigations, resolving incident reports and escalations
• Ensure business models and supporting systems continually mitigate risk to maintain the protection and integrity of data and resources
• Promote a risk-aware culture across the company by organizing educational and training workshops

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years experience in a risk, compliance or regulatory function, experience working with any regulated financial services business in legal or compliance roles preferred. Crypto experience is a plus
• Strong practical knowledge of risk frameworks and operational risk reporting experience, FRM is a plus
• Interest in Cryptocurrencies, Blockchain and trading or finance/banking/payments industry
• Good stakeholder management and collaboration skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to troubleshoot and discover answers quickly and effectively
• Capable of working under pressure
