Responsibilities :

• Be the MLRO for Germany to ensure compliance with German AML law and corresponding regulations
• Performing the AML risk assessment for the German entity
• Continuously monitor the legal landscape on AML, initiate change and ensure continuous development of the function to ensure adherence to domestic laws and regulations Design and implement of 2nd LoD controls
• Periodic review of policies and adaptation to changed needs coming from regulators, laws or to improve function
• Performing AML trainings for the German entity
• Taking care of the transaction monitoring, customer onboarding and escalation process
• Responsible for closing findings from internal and external supervision bodies
• Working with FIU, Criminal Authorities and monitoring the SAR process
• Preparation of the relevant AML reporting
• Cooperation with other functions within the group
• Preparation of and liaison with internal and external audits of the money laundering function
• Responsibility for the continuous development of internal policies, work procedures and processes

Requirements :

• At least 5 - 7 years experience in a similar role with clear focus on the financial service industry
• Strong knowledge of banking and AML laws, regulations and directives in regard to Wertpapierhandelsgesetz, Kreditwesengesetz, Geldwäschegesetz, and other relevant acts
• Experience in working with FIU and domestic criminal authorities needed
• FinTech Experience will be a plus
• Hands-on and efficient, be a self starter and overtake accountability
• Team player and strong personalityStrong communication, ability to be flexible in a variety of situations, excellent relationship maintenance and sales skills, able to work under pressurePassionate about crypto. Industry experience would be of an advantage
• Fluent English and German is a must
