Responsibilities:

  • Develop and write new policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures for the firm
  • Analyse existing procedures to identify gaps, inconsistencies and take appropriate action to resolve
  • Participate in developing local Governance processes and engage with the business to promote policy implementation and solid risk practices internally
  • Drafting key policy documents including responses to local jurisdiction consultation papers
  • Work closely with business units on editing policies for enhancements or new policy/procedure development
  • Prepare and manage materials related to Corporate Governance, Management Information and Reporting
  • Research and write internal communications, new manuals and prepare document updates according to business requirements
  • To support the timely development, production, guidance and frameworks relating to EU Compliance policy
  • To lead on particular areas of policy work according to demand
  • To provide prompt and high-quality responses to requests for information, including internal and external queries and briefings to senior managers
  • Identifying relevant developments in the policy space, which are important for the project, proactively, effectively and in a timely manner
  • Assisting with ad-hoc tasks as required
  • Working with the team to identify and develop key policy areas
  • Working effectively with other stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Proven experience within the financial services, Banking or Fintech sector
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years experience in a Risk Compliance, AML or Regulatory function, experience working with a regulated financial services business
  • Policy developments, implementation and evaluation experience from experience working in a regulated sector
  • Able to articulate and present complex information clearly and persuasively
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, global organisation maintaining close contact with relevant teams across multiple locations
  • Excellent problem solving skills and ability to provide useful and efficient counsel
  • Proficiency in compliance applications and programmes
  • Proactive, diligent and collaborative team player
