Binance Canada is looking to grow our Risk team with executional level talent ideally based in Calgary, Alberta.

Responsibilities:

• Engage with stakeholders in the development of a comprehensive GRC (Governance Risk and Compliance) program
• Develop risk procedures, protocols and policies Development of risk controls and controls for the company
• Work across all aspects of data from engineering to building sophisticated dataset and visualizations
• Analyze and interpret large volumes of transactional, operational and customer data using proprietary and open-source data tools, platforms and analytical tool kits
• Use data to provide value-added analysis and reporting on operations, and risk domains
• Translate complex findings into simple visualizations
• Engage with product development teams in the identification and quantification of potential risk(s) arising from the products and activities of the Front Office
• Develop models to independently quantify the risks from trading activities of the Front Office

Requirements:

• Degree in Economics, Finance, Financial Engineering, Business
• 5-7 years of full-time work experience in a risk centric role assisting in the development of risk procedures, policies and processes
• Fulsome understanding in the development of GRC (Governance Risk and Compliance) and ERM (Enterprise Risk Management) programs and structures
• Good understanding of derivatives trading, options and exchange traded futuresAn understanding of modeling, what-if analysis, scenario analysis and analytics
• A self-driven team player with the ability to quickly learn and apply new tools and techniques such as proprietary analytical software, data models with an understanding of programming languages
• A natural curiosity to identify, investigate and explain trends and patterns in data and an ability to analyze and break down complex concepts and technical findings into clear and simple language for communication
• A passion for Emerging Technologies related to Blockchain
