Binance is currently looking for an experienced Finance expert, who will support with managing our portfolio companies across New Zealand and Australia. This position involves more than just financial accounting, tax and financial reporting, it will also need to work closely with the management team to support the requirements of the business.

The Senior Financial Accountant should have strong initiative, can-do attitude, strategic finance mindset and a character that is one of high integrity.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and analysis thereon
• Assist with statutory accounts and regulatory compliance
• Work together with tax consultants to prepare and submit tax returns, and assist other taxation matters as/when required
• Assist in new market/products launch
• Ensure compliance of statutory and regulatory requirements
• Liaise with external auditors and accountants
• Support New Zealand and Australia operations
• Manage financial projects
• Coaching and mentoring of junior team member
• Work on ad-hoc projects assigned by the Financial Controller and contribute effectively

Requirements

• CA/CPA or working towards this qualification
• A minimum of 5 years of work experience in the accounting and finance sector
• Solid understanding of tax compliance in New Zealand
• Relevant experience in regulatory compliance
• Advanced excel skills and experience in NetSuite accounting systems
• Demonstrated initiative and ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
