Responsibilities

• Working in a fast-growing risk operations team under Margin Lending and Loan business unit
• Implement operational risk controls and procedures in line with organization risk strategy and market changes to prevent, eliminate and mitigate potential financial loss
• Escalate risk findings in a timely manner so as to troubleshoot and resolve the issue
• Provide investigation support by conducting and leading thematic testing on risk strategy and incidents where required
• Support and drive development and implementation of business legal and regulatory strategy and contribute to the development of the broader business strategy
• Act as point contact for business development and company legal and compliance team to manage legal and compliance efforts in response to matters encountered by the business, work with internal stakeholders to provide sound and robust legal advice and support
• Anticipate and maintain up-to-date knowledge of current laws relevant to substantive areas to provide strategic advice and foster compliance
• Identify compliance framework developments, align and promote consistency of approach in compliance matters among internal stakeholders

Requirements

• Experience in Risk and Control, preferably with a Operations / Audit /Risk consultant background in banking or financial services institutions
• Ability to assess and analyze emerging risks
• Develop strong relationships with stakeholders in the business, engineering, compliance, and legal to support reporting functions
• Train and motivate colleagues to achieve personal and departmental business and risk targets
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, global organization maintaining close contact with relevant teams across multiple locations
• Work with product/tech team on risk and regulatory requirements
• Excellent communication, negotiation & management skills
• Possesses strong analytical skills and an ability to quickly learn new products and systems; shows a willingness to be able to thrive in a challenging and constantly changing environment
• Able to distill and articulate complex proposal and has good presentation skills
