Broadway Technology is seeking a Security Engineer to lead and advance our
Information Security program across the firm covering physical and cloud
environments across corporate infrastructure and our globe-spanning trading
network. You will work with the CIO, senior leadership and technical teams to
help improve our overall security posture, reducing the risk to Broadway and
Customers and to ensure that our operating environments are secure while
protecting the efficiency of our team. The target candidate will have hands-on
information security proficiency and experience working with Operations,
Corporate IT, Devops and Development teams.
Responsibilities
- Advance all information security programs, including Risk Assessment, Incident Response, IDS/IPS Systems, Threat and Vulnerability Management, and Security Awareness and Education
- Drive the development and implementation of security policies and procedures
- Work directly with technical teams to ensure that security is considered and designed into system architectures
- Participate in the management of Broadway’s SDLC program
- Assist with Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning
- Interface with Broadway’s legal team and our Customers’ information security teams to inform and attest to Broadway’s policies and practices
- Review and assist and advocate for our teams’ compliance with information security policies
- Participate in the Incident Response process and lead tabletop Incident Response exercise
- Configure, operate and review results from security tools and infrastructure
- Conduct periodic audits of security-related configurations across the organization
- Manage and improve network and application penetration testing initiatives
- Manage Information Security vendors and service providers
- Manage Cloud security in Azure and AWS
- Support local Corporate IT initiatives during hours not covered by IT engineers
Requirements
- 5+ years of work experience in information security & managing security environments
- At least 3 years of experience leading information security programs
- Deep understanding of not just what the best practices are in the industry, but the reasoning behind those practices
- Desire to be hands-on
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Experience with OWASP or other vulnerability frameworks and ISO 27001, SOC or similar ISMS specifications
- Penetration testing and vulnerability assessment experience
- Deep knowledge of networking and network security
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science or equivalent field experience; CISSP certification a plus
- Experience in a financial / trading environment is a plus
