We are looking for an Engineering Manager with strong leadership and communication skills who has a passion for mentoring and developing talented engineers to create best-in-class products that delight our customers. The Forecasting team owns Clari’s highly flexible and most-utilized product. The team is ready to expand to brand new territories like Team Performance and keeps delivering administration features for easy to use. If you love solving challenging data query/intelligence problems and if you’re just as passionate about vital customer experiences as you are about the way data is structured and handled, this is the role for you. This is a work-from-home opportunity based in either the Vancouver or Toronto areas. Candidates must be based in one of those areas and have appropriate Canadian work authorization. We are unable to provide work authorization sponsorship at this time.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Product Managers and Designers to shape the roadmap, design, and direction of Forecasting features as a true co-owner
  • Lead a self-contained team empowered to create amazing products with front end, backend, full-stack, and test engineers all directly reporting to you
  • Implement APIs, services, and UI for use by internal and external consumers
  • Own the responsibility of making the product successful in a fast-paced environment with a deep focus on quality, performance, and architecture
  • Mentor junior engineers and help them become technical leaders
  • Create growth experiences designed to help engineers achieve their individual career goals
  • Continually improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes
  • Hire and retain the best talents to fuel hyper-growth

Qualifications

  • Strong technical background, including 7+ years of demonstrated experience building enterprise-grade services and solutions
  • 2+ years of managerial experience leading and building successful engineering teams and delivering products to customers in a timely manner
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest trends in enterprise cloud computing at scale using public cloud services like AWS (ideal), GCP or Azure
  • Experience managing applications in a production environment that support high availability and resiliency, and low latency at scale; exposure to managing production outages and remediations
  • Solid experience to foster team members’ growth, providing feedback, and managing conflicts
  • Excellent communicator both verbally and in writing. Explaining complex technical concepts to designers, customer support, and other engineers is no problem for you
