Clarify is looking for Senior Data Engineer to focus on ETL tools to integrate build production and post-production data pipelines.

The Role:

  • The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for a range of responsibilities, including (but not limited to):
  • Utilizing ETL tools to integrate build production and post-production data pipelines that move data from a variety of sources into a warehouse, monitor data quality, check for errors and conform data to standards
  • Identify and implement new technologies and tools to improve our big data and machine learning processes
  • Enhance and optimize production pipelines and bring expertise in big data processing while maintaining existing infrastructure used across all development teams
  • Develop internal tools for automation of all development-related activities (data processing, QA, data validation, etc.)
  • Self-sufficiency to query relational databases, research new features, and build resources necessary where they are not already existing
  • Resourcefulness in a variety of big data frameworks like Spark or Hadoop
  • Keen knowledge of optimal selections with respect to predictive performance computation time.

What we are looking for:

  • We are always looking for new team members who will add to our culture and have a strong passion for impact. As such, we are ideally looking for “all-around athletes” with strong leadership, analytics, and communication skills. In particular, the Senior Data Engineer will have:

  • Experience in building and tuning ETL pipelines on Apache Spark and Presto

  • ETL Orchestration tools such as Airflow

  • Experience with Python (Scala experience is a plus)

  • Experience integrating a wide variety of data sources including web services, files, databases, and web pages

  • Experience with RDS (PostgreSQL and/or MySQL)

  • Experience with one of the container services such as Docker or Kubernetes

  • Proficient in CI/CD (CircleCI)

  • Proficient in Git or SVN

  • AWS, Azure, or related experience is required

  • Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

  • 5+ years of experience with direct data engineering

  • Healthcare experience is a plus
