About The Role

Coalition’s unique approach to risk combines technology and insurance to help protect our customers from fast-moving digital risks, often before they strike. We’re seeking a well-rounded and collaborative Communications Manager to join our marketing team and help drive Coalition’s awareness, press engagement and share of voice. This role will collaborate with our broader marketing team and partner with Coalition executives as well as our world- class external PR agencies to support the development and execution of our PR plans to drive consistent coverage and results.

An amazing communications manager is an avid consumer of news who can spot emerging trends, as well as a passionate storyteller who can navigate both technology and wider business narratives to help Coalition on our path to providing security for all.

Responsibilities

  • Key contributor in the development and implementation of a world-class PR program while also being an active collaborator with our broader Coalition marketing team
  • Develop and manage a consistent and steady pipeline of news as Coalition expands it’s product offerings and reach
  • Support the development of thought leadership topics and content that positions Coalition at the forefront of digital risks and technology
  • Help to identify and prepare spokespeople for media interviews and speaking engagements, including executives and senior leaders
  • Coordinate media relations for announcements, product updates and new content
  • Continuously build relationships with relevant agency contacts, media and industry partners
  • Develop and edit public statements, press releases, contributed stories, presentations and other content as needed
  • Contribute to our new company’s content including the blog, newsroom, and knowledge base by editing stories, and coordinating with stakeholders
  • Research and monitor technology, customer experience, and industry trends to inform and drive Coalition’s PR plans

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in external communications
  • Public Relations and/or in-house agency experience is highly desired
  • Experience in the technology industry is a plus
  • Impeccable attention to detail, strong project management skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with exceptional storytelling skills
  • Flexible mindset that can adapt in a hyper-growth environment where goals shift as the business evolves
  • Experience working with various cross-functional teams across all levels of the organization and taking multiple inputs to build a plan and chart a path forward
