About Us

Founded in 2017, Coalition is on a mission to solve cyber risk and create a safer digital economy where everyone can thrive. Digital risk is now a part of every business and it’s no longer solely the domain of technical teams. That’s why we combined comprehensive insurance with proactive cybersecurity tools to help organizations stay resilient to digital risks like cyber attacks, funds transfer fraud and much more.

Our team works collaboratively across North America and Europe to prevent security failures and provide both technical and financial help when incidents do occur. Today, Coalition is the world’s largest commercial insurtech serving over 130,000 customers including many small businesses that rely on Coalition to help them chart a path forward in the new digital world.

As of September 2021, Coalition has raised $520 million from leading global technology investors as well as highly-regarded institutional investors including: Index Ventures, Ribbit Capital, Valor Ventures, Durable Capital, T. Rowe Price Advisors, and Whale Rock Capital, valuing the company at more than $3.5 billion.

Coalition has experienced tremendous growth by helping organizations of all sizes solve real-world problems and by remaining true to our founding values of character, humility, responsibility, authenticity and diversity. That’s why we are proud to be named one of Inc’s Best Places to Work in 2021.

About The Role

Coalition has created a unique approach to risk by combining technology and insurance to help protect our customers from fast-moving digital risks. We’re seeking a creative, customer-centric, and collaborative Security Product Marketing Director to lead marketing efforts for our security and risk management practice. We aim to prevent cyber risk before it strikes by helping our customers assess, monitor, and respond to real-time risk. In this role you will foster long-term relationships with both insurance brokers and the small and medium businesses searching for capabilities to reduce their cyber risk. You will help educate and enable a non-technical audience on the best practices, unique capabilities, and critical knowledge needed to actively reduce cyber risk.

This role will be responsible for developing extraordinary messaging and positioning, storytelling, and customer insights. You’ll operate at the intersection of product, sales, and marketing, and play an essential role in translating products, features, and services into solutions that meet our customers’ needs. Success in this role would result in higher engagement and retention amongst Coalition’s policyholders, increased adoption of our cybersecurity product offering, and enablement of our broker partners as they help their customers navigate the digital economy safely.

  • Develop go-to-market strategies and drive launches for our growing product lines in collaboration with product managers, sales, design, PR, and engineering. Evaluate the performance of your products and develop strategies to drive further growth and customer engagement.
  • Turn your knowledge into creative content ideas to reach, engage, and educate our key audiences through collateral, blogs, webinars, thought leadership, customer presentations, website content, videos, blogs, by-lined articles and more.
  • Work with Coalition’s security partners on messaging, positioning, and driving adoption
  • Help enable Coalition’s customer-facing teams, including sales, customer success, and technical support
  • Partner with Coalition’s Product, Customer Success, and Security teams to identify emerging trends and develop proactive resources and customer communications

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of proven experience in product marketing for technical products
  • Experience within the cybersecurity space, particularly within a startup and/or high growth organization
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal & written) and close attention to detail
  • Demonstrated track record in crafting compelling messaging, content, and campaigns throughout a product's lifecycle
  • Extremely self-motivated, able to work in a dynamic environment on multiple complex projects
  • Proven success working in a collaborative team environment
  • Maturity to balance short-term and long-term development simultaneously
  • Highly proficient written communication and editing skills, and ability to quickly learn and adopt the messaging and tone of our company
