This Staff role is responsible for the application of academic research into automated security analysis in our Scan product. You will work with other engineers as we increase language support in our scan engine, helping to design, implement and test new features to analyse and detect vulnerabilities in application code.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong Experience with one or more of Java, Kotlin, Rust or C#
  • A passion for programming languages and their design.
  • The right candidate will know the difference between compiled and interpreted languages and be knowledgeable about static and dynamically typing.
  • Ready to learn new things and are excited about challenging work. You’re happy to roll up your sleeves and read a language specification to help increase our code scanning capabilities.
  • Great communication skills - whether you’re talking to fellow engineers about the inner workings of the JVM, or a customer about the latest product features.
  • Good administrative skills to help organise the team's work.
  • Good at teaching and mentoring others as part of your day to day work.
