The Product Development Manager is responsible for contributing to the initiation, development, and maintenance of a formula from concept to launch. You will collaborate with internal project stakeholders and external vendors to ensure that ongoing development is aligned with company timelines and budget. In this role, you will get to support and supplement the expansion of Curology’s product portfolio.

What you'll do:

  • Lead product development for new and reformulated cosmetic and OTC products, owning development milestones and COGs from product development briefs to product launch
  • Evaluate incoming formula samples and provide feedback to 3rd party laboratories for all product submissions
  • Monitor ILs and keep track of ingredients during formula development to align with the Medical and provider database
  • Monitor production process after scale-up, evaluate batches, and finished good production samples
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Supply Chain and Packaging to meet key development milestones and timing
  • Partner with Product Marketing to create the product story and align on the groundwork for new products / product revamps with key ingredients and differentiators
  • Liaise with Regulatory to substantiate product claims and ingredient compliance while ensuring that safety and claims testing are in line with the product timeline
  • Secure and manage all needed ingredient and product technology collateral for regulatory/claims and provider support, including specification sheets, technical sales literature, and regulatory documents
  • Lead internal user panel testing for owned projects, including analyzing result and providing findings to project stakeholders
  • Connect and partner with ingredient suppliers related to new concepts, ingredients, and technologies
  • Track new product launches and trends in the skincare industry, evaluate products on the market to apply attributes to new innovations / benchmarks

What you'll need:

  • 4+ years in skincare product development or marketing
  • Experience at both larger and smaller scale companies is preferred
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Business or Science preferred
  • Strong proficiency in evaluating and providing feedback for formulations/maintaining relationships with external vendors
  • Takes a proactive approach to anticipate issues and provide solutions
  • Ability to shift priorities and adapt to direction change as needed
