The role of the Financial Accountant is to deliver accurate and timely financial information for the APAC region. Initially this role will be focused on accounting for our Malaysian and Indian entities, but this may be expanded to include Japan, China, and Australia. Based in Kuala Lumpur, we are looking for a hands on, enthusiastic, highly motivated person who can work independently in conjunction with a small but dedicated APAC Finance team based in Sydney.

Responsibilities

• · Manage financial reporting requirements including month end reporting and local statutory requirements.
• · Prepare monthly Management accounts including commentary.
• · Prepare month end close activities including prepayments, transfer pricing, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.
• · Reconcile the intercompany balances ensuring accurate intercompany invoices are produced.
• · Prepare and review monthly cost allocations
• Ensure regulatory and statutory compliance by assisting in annual income tax returns, VAT returns, and other country/state specific returns.
• Liaising with external accounting or tax providers and be the key finance contact for them.
• · Ad-hoc projects and tasks

Requirements

• · Proven experience in the above tasks, especially managing Malaysia and India accounting.
• · Oracle Fusion and Blackline recent experience will be highly advantageous
• · Accounting degree, CPA qualified or part qualified preferred
• · Strong attention to detail with high proficiency in Microsoft excel.
• · Hands on and ability to work independently
