Do you have prior experience in testing data platform/data lake and analytics SaaS services in the public cloud? Do you have knowledge in modern Big Data stack (Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, Hive), Java, and/or python?
Come join our Data platform and Analytics team. This team owns, builds, and operates Guidewire’s cloud-native data platform and analytics SaaS offerings. The guidewire data platform is an enterprise-grade, internet-scale, and cloud- native Big Data platform targeted to be best-in-class in enabling our customers with mission-critical insights and decision-making capabilities. The platform is designed to support all of our analytics, data science, and data applications. Guidewire’s data platform already processes Billions of real- time data to provide a rich set of AI/ML SaaS solutions! You will work in a highly collaborative environment building next-generation platforms and services using the latest and greatest cutting-edge & bleeding-edge technologies. You will have fun building cloud-native, enterprise-grade, and internet-scale data platforms and SaaS applications.
Required Skills
•Extensive experience with testing and automating Big Data and distributed systems
•Prior experience in testing data platforms using Big Data stack (Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, Hive) on public cloud (AWS/Azure)
•Good programming skills in Java, Python, or any scripting language
•Good problem solving and analytical skills to triage issues in a complex multi-tier environment
•Experience in working with serialization frameworks like Avro, Parquet, etc
•Understanding of testing distributed systems concepts (consistency and availability, liveness and safety, durability, reliability, fault-tolerance, consensus algorithms)
•Expertise in REST API testing and automation
•UI testing and automation
•Security testing in cloud-native services
•Eager to learn new things and passionate about technology!
•Comfortable working with Kubernetes, Docker
What you would do?
•Lead a team of test automation engineers
•Design and develop test automation for cloud-native data platform and analytics SaaS services
•Participate in Agile development process and work closely with developers and product owners to test/automate features as they’re built within a sprint
•Own testing architecture and provide technical leadership for building automation framework and tools
•Hands-on automation>60% of the time
•Test and Automate micro-services and analytics SaaS solutions
•Drive testing and automation for Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) of services
•Develop Test strategy for scalability, availability, and data security of services
•Mentor junior developers in standards and best practices.

•Strong technical interpersonal skills to collaborate with Dev/PM/Operations team
•Good programming skills in Java or scripting languages.
•Expertise testing in Spark, Kafka, and Hadoop ecosystem (AWS)
•Experience with containers technology
•Ability to work in an agile fast-paced environment
•BS or MS degree (Computer Science or Math)
