Key Project: Guidewire front end platform

Jutro is our front-end platform. In the modern world of sophisticated front- end applications, providing a phenomenal developer and user experience is a critical need. Jutro teams build the platform, which includes the library of reusable components and the capabilities on top of them: localization, analytics, theming, and so on. There are also integrations with Cloud Services, such as authentication and API Data layer support. It’s all about using the latest React-based technologies, the latest JavaScript API and ES-2020 features, Amazon Web Services and TypeScript. One of the significant features of Jutro is the metadata-driven configuration: the framework is built so that nearly everything in the apps based on it can be changed after delivery to production, merely by making configuration changes in the cloud. As a result, the platform is used across Guidewire teams and products. Working with Jutro, it’s easy to add features requested by customers and see them used almost immediately in the platform.

What we're looking for

• We want a Senior/Regular Front End Software Engineer who can lead by example. Working with a close-knit scrum team you'll need to ask the difficult questions and take ownership for finding the right solutions. You could be leading on React projects, visual tools for building and testing web apps or exploring new ways to build codeless apps on our Guidewire platform
• Most of our team have a Computer Science degree or similar
• Skilled in modern web technologies: JavaScript (ES 6+), TypeScript, HTML5, CSS / Sass and outstanding frameworks, e.g. React/Angular/Vue (we use React, but don't require an experience strictly with that one)
• You'll be comfortable working in Agile environments, developing responsive applications
• Able to contribute to the architecture, design, and implementation of products
• You won’t be phased by writing test units or building automation scripts and tools to support the CI & CD pipeline
• As part of a close-knit scrum, you’ll need to have a strong work ethic and enjoy tackling challenges together
• You could be mastering React projects, crafting visual tools for building web apps or exploring new ways to build codeless apps on our Guidewire platform
• But it'll take more than technical skills and qualifications to make the grade here. You'll need a real appetite for a challenge, a will to keep learning and grow with your team, and the drive to innovate
