Who You Are

You enjoy applying quantitative methods to test and validate the quality of models and analytics. You believe the only models worth using are those that are fully understood and trusted.

Responsibilities:

  • Be the key stakeholder in deciding whether or not the implementation of our models is meeting expectations
  • Serve as the key communicator for the performance of each model update to internal stakeholders
  • Design and develop ongoing test strategies focusing on data validation and testing of complex statistical models
  • Perform in-depth analysis on large data assist in model development documentation review, model monitoring, and model validation reporting

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or a related discipline in science, engineering, or mathematics
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in working in a similar role
  • Experience and working knowledge of ML and AI concepts
  • Ability to work with large, continuously flowing amount of structured and unstructured data
  • Familiarity with manipulating data sets using SQL to analyze results of predictive models
  • Ability to succinctly program and manipulate relevant data visualizations using Python and R
  • Familiarity of producing automation frameworks using python
  • Experience with command-line scripting, data structures, and algorithms
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to synthesize, simplify and explain complex problems to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Collaborate effectively and follow-up to ensure achievement of deadlines, outcomes, and results
  • Experience with QA testing of catastrophe risk models and familiar with common risk metrics used in the insurance industry is highly desirable
