Guidewire’s Site Reliability Engineering team (SRE) is part of the Product Development & Operations (PDO) organization, delivering 24x7 service to customers who are using Guidewire’s software products on the Guidewire Cloud Platform.
As a Staff Software Engineer for Guidewire’s Site Reliability Engineering and Automation team, you will build and maintain DevOps/Automation tooling infrastructure to enable our internal teams to scale the Guidewire Cloud offering.
You will help to define the best practices and methodologies for infrastructure setup, upgrade, automation, and maintenance, while collaborating closely with peers. This role requires a high degree of independence, ownership and responsibility. If you like to be challenged and have a passion for solving problems at scale through development of automation and tooling to target observability issues then we would love to hear from you.
The successful candidate is someone who exemplifies the ethics of, "If you have to do something more than once, automate it," and who can rapidly self- educate on new concepts and tools will have a good mix of deep object-oriented technical knowledge and a demonstrated ability to rapidly self-educate on new concepts and tools, ideally with production SaaS application experience.
