The Guidewire Digital Practice isa group of highly motivated technology engineers, user experience designers, and domain experts working with insurance clients, InsurTechs and delivery partners in current, leading-edge technologies delivering exciting, customer-facing projects.

We are seeking individuals across User Experience (UX)design, Digital Engineering, and Insurance Domain expertise who are motivated working in an agile, collaborative, and dynamic environment across multiple client projects.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with our Sales, Solutions and Digital Platform teams to develop deep empathy for customer challenges and deliver exceptional user experiences engaging with some of the biggest Insurance carriers across the globe. We consider digital transformation a team sport where, together with our clients, we strategically solve by balancing business realities with innovative and scalable solutions for both enterprise and customer facing applications.

Your day-to-day:

  • Drive business development conversations on design led delivery and its values.
  • Forge strategic partnerships with SIs and Consulting partners
  • Evolve Guidewire’s design-led delivery approaches in close collaboration with field consulting, and solution sales to drive successful and profitable engagement
  • Identify commonly occurring user experience patterns that could be turned into product or accelerators.
  • Work with product management to shape regional design considerations and nuances into the wider design system
  • Drive hiring and career development strategy for Design staff
  • Staff and oversee design projects in the region
  • Provide advisory support to clients and be a point of escalation on design related queries

What you need to be successful:

  • Have 10-15 years of experience with enterprise design in a Consulting environment.
  • Ability to drive business development conversations on design led delivery and its values.
  • Strong understanding of the EMEA market for design consulting and how it contributes to revenue
  • The ability to drive projects across a range of business problems, user needs and solutions, incorporating a full spectrum of modern digital technologies.
  • Proven ability to facilitate conversations with a diverse group of stakeholders, and provide a productive, collaborative experience.
  • Ability to coach and mentor Design teams
  • A passion for what others might call ‘blue sky’ solutions that can be brought to realization.
  • Proficiency in information architecture, design methods and artifacts, such as interaction flows, taxonomies, flow diagrams, mental models, content inventories, wireframes, etc.
  • Familiarity with lean and agile approaches to creating software, and a desire to learn and improve.
  • Experience working with teams using state-of-the-art UI technologies such as React, Angular or Vue.js
  • Have thorough knowledge of competitive and cutting-edge application UIs on the web today, and familiarity with digital technologies such as AI/ML/Blockchain, big data.
  • Willing to travel
