Dave is looking for a talented Senior Site Reliability Engineer for our Infrastructure Engineering organization. The team’s mission is to deliver highly available, resilient and dependable cloud infrastructure to power our services and deliver an awesome virtual banking experience for our customers.

What You'll Do

• Design, build and maintain Dave’s core infrastructure
• Help define Dave's best practices and mentor teammates
• Use your knowledge of industry-standard tooling to help us build our next version of infrastructure automation
• Work with our Platform product managers to ensure important database performance metrics are being monitored
• Work with various business and engineering teams to ensure reliable, scalable, robust architecture for our database infrastructure
• Support database design, schema updates and optimization
• Help us automate manual tasks for our architectureInfluence engineers to hold high standards of maintainability in order to reduce tech debt by performing effective code reviews
• Use code reviews as an opportunity to coach and ensure best practices and standards
• Collaborates with security and privacy Join in and manage our production on-call rotation

What You'll Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ Years of software engineering experience
• Experience designing and managing databases with a focus on performance, security, scalability and disaster recovery
• Experience with schema design, query optimization and index tuning
• Understanding of replication, sharding and other high availability solutions
• Experience programming in one or more general purpose programming languages, including but not limited to Java, JavaScript, SQL, Python, or Go
• Experience managing large MySQL or PostgreSQL deployments
• Experience with cloud based databases (GCP, AWS) a plus
• Knowledge of Infrastructure provisioning tools
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience building & working with caching layers such as Redis
• Excellent communication, analytical, and development skills
