business model where fleets own and operate Embark trucks. This is an incredibly exciting time for autonomous vehicles and our team is looking to grow.
We are looking for candidates with strong overall software engineering skills, with some experience working in robotics industry. Candidates should be familiar with robotics concepts, numerical optimization, high-performance requirements. Knowledge of planning algorithms is a plus. Strong familiarity with C++ is a plus.
The responsibilities of the role include:
- Designing, implement and extend existing algorithms that are used to help the truck navigate complex driving situations on highways.
- Taking the ideas and algorithms we have in our codebase and make them more clear, modular, and testable.
- Collaborating with teammates to produce code that is efficient, readable, and testable.
Preferred experience:
- 2+ years of experience writing high quality production quality code in C++ / Python
- 2+ years working in robotics or related fields of motion planning
- Comfort with fundamentals of probability and statistics
- Prior academic or industry experience in autonomous driving
