We are looking for candidates with experience in designing and building systems for collecting, storing, and retrieving data efficiently at scale, to support and accelerate the development of our planning system. Candidates should be comfortable working with a variety of infrastructure tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Databricks. Ideal candidates also have a high degree of interest in and some familiarity with AV planning/prediction systems.

The responsibilities of the role include:

• Designing and building data pipelines for understanding and improving planner/prediction performance.
• Building tools for introspection of planning and prediction algorithms to facilitate and increase the productivity of planning team members.
• Collaborating with domain experts on the planning team on architectural decisions about behavior planning/prediction.
• Collaborating with Frameworks and Data Infra teams to build and deploy tools to improve productivity.

Preferred experience:

• 2+ years of experience writing high-quality production quality code in C++.
• Experience in designing and building UIs, dashboards, and visualization to help monitor experiments, plot results, and visualize benchmarks.
• Experience in designing and building machine learning/deep learning data pipelines.
• Prior academic or industrial experience in autonomous driving.
