About the Role:
You’ll play a critical role in establishing key partnerships with truck OEMs and part suppliers, paving a path to manufacture Embark-equipped self-driving trucks. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the entire lifecycle of these partnerships, from working with our engineering teams to understand roadblocks, crafting pitches, creating revenue models, negotiating terms, closing agreements and managing ongoing partner relationships.
In this role you will:
- Develop and execute against a long term vision for autonomous truck manufacturing
- Manage and negotiate large, complex, deals between Embark and OEMs and part suppliers
- Build out and lead the Embark Partnerships Team
- Manage partner relationships from initial discussions, through agreement closing and ongoing partner management.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, legal, and finance to support partner development, and implement partnership strategy and programs
Experience & Requirements:
- Partnerships experience within a technical field or product, with a history of negotiating complex commercial contracts
- Experience working cross-functionally with technical and legal teams
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving, and project management abilities. Comfortable creating pitch decks and pricing models
- Ability to understand, synthesize and clearly articulate complex multi-party integration and development programs
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Passion for transportation and/or logistics
- Ability to travel at least 1 week per month
