The Data Visualization team builds tools to interact with and understand the company’s self-driving vehicles. Our products allow engineers to follow vehicles in real-time, visualize recorded data, and develop new self-driving functionality. We do this by shipping sophisticated web applications that make use of the latest web technologies like WebGL, Web Workers, and much more.
Responsibilities:
- Devise and implement beautiful and useful 2D and 3D visualizations that can be used on our trucks, in AV software development, and on recorded data
- Collaborate with Embark’s robotics teams to understand product needs and implement them end-to-end
- Design user interfaces that turn data into understanding
- Ensure our products remain usable and performant even on resource-constrained devices
Your experience should include:
- 3+ years working on high performance web applications
- A deep understanding of web browsers, including the DOM, JavaScript, styling, and commonly used APIs
- Proficiency in React or other popular web frameworks
Bonus points if you have experience with:
- Flow/TypeScript
- WebSockets
- WebWorkers
