Exploding Kittens is seeking an experienced Demand Planning Analyst to join our Global Sales team. In this role you will manage the processes around creating and maintaining sales and inventory forecasts for our top customer accounts, such as Amazon, Walmart and Target. This is a critical role that supports our primary revenue channel for the company. You will monitor account orders and sales performance, and partner with our Production and Logistics teams on forward-looking inventory needs to ensure our customers remain in an ideal inventory position for our continuously expanding assortment of games and puzzles.

HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE

• Actively monitor retail and warehouse inventory levels and forecast future inventory needs based on seasonal trends and retail sell-through performance; communicate findings and recommendations to the Production and Logistics teams to ensure healthy in-stock levels at retail locations and 3PL warehouses (international and domestic)
• Partner with retailers and sales representatives to develop demand planning forecasting methodologies based on Exploding Kittens’ and overall category sales history; create a point of view on seasonality, promotional lift, import vs. domestic fulfillment strategies, and new account and new item forecasting
• Interface with other departments such as Marketing and Finance on topics such as marketing effectiveness and financial forecasting
• Perform SKU and account level sales and profitability analyses, and make recommendations to the Sales, E-Commerce Direct-To-Consumer, and Marketing teams

WHAT WE NEED

• Minimum 3 years working in demand planning or account planning for a consumer goods company, or large retailer
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, finance, operations or a related field
• Exceptional analytical and organizational skills, and a problem-solving attitudeExpert at Microsoft Excel, and competency in other relevant software such as Google Sheets, Google Docs and Google Drive
• Experience with Shopify, and ERP or demand planning software (i.e. Brightpearl, NetSuite, etc.) a plus
• High service orientation, hands-on mentality and attention to detail
• Entrepreneurial mindset, with experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
