The Data and ERP Infrastructure Manager will lead all production support and enhancement activities with focus on our ERP, Data Warehouse and reporting platform for rapidly growing global business.

The Manager will leverage their retail operational knowledge surrounding core business processes (e.g. order management, pricing and discounting, inventory, allocation, warehouse management, accounting) to effectively maintain and evolve our ERP solution integrated with internal and external (3PL) systems and sales channels. The Manager will apply best practices of data governance to sustain the quality and accuracy of Exploding Kittens’ master data and oversee the support required to maintain this data. With an emphasis on optimizing support and increasing business productivity, the Manager will work closely with key business partners including Sales, Logistics, Product Development, Finance, and 3PL Warehouse teams to support and optimize existing processes and also plan for future business initiatives to increase productivity and business performance.

In addition, this leader will oversee our data roadmap, including migrating the business from a reliance on Google spreadsheets to leveraging Tableau and Snowflake for regular business dashboards and KPI review as well as ad hoc analysis. You need a strong knowledge in data management best practices, including how to implement Snowflake or similar DW in a retail environment with similar upstream systems (e.g. ecommerce, wholesale partners, 3PL, marketing systems, customer service systems, etc).

HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE:

  • Manage production support of Brightpearl (ERP), Snowflake and Tableau solutions and processes
  • Lead cross functional teams of resources to deliver prioritized business initiatives in support of the related departments (Sales, Supply Chain/ Logistics, Finance, Marketing & Product Development)
  • Manage the translation of business requirements into solutions in collaboration with both internal and external team members
  • Manage third-party vendors and guide internal team in the application of data governance best practices to ensure the accuracy, quality, and consistency of business-critical master data
  • Expert at implementing and operating stable, scalable data flow solutions from production systems into end-user facing applications/reports
  • Build datasets, metrics, and KPIs supporting business goals Design, implement and support end-to-end analytical solutions that are highly available, scalable, stable, secure, and cost-effective
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to recognize and help adopt best practices in reporting and analysis, data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation
  • Report key insight trends using statistical rigor to simplify and inform the larger team of noteworthy findings that impact the business
  • Proactively identify problems and opportunities and perform root cause analysis/diagnosis leading to significant business impact
  • Manage all aspects of BI projects such as project planning, requirements definition, risk management, communication, and implementation planning

WHAT WE NEED:

  • 5+ years of industry experience in ERP configuration/development, data engineering, business intelligence a track record of improving business productivity through delivery of technical solutions
  • 5+ years of professional experience in business intelligence and analytics
  • Experience in a wide variety of Sales and Supply Chain projects (Order Management, Pricing, Sales Management, Reporting, etc...) across Wholesale and eCommerce channels for retailer
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, or related technical field
  • Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and building ETL pipelines with deep and advanced knowledge of SQL
  • Prior experience in managing analytics team, including employee development, performance management, and delivering results
  • Deep expertise in creation and management of datasets and passionate about leveraging for business value
  • Detail-oriented and must have an aptitude for solving unstructured problems
  • Accountable, own tasks, and drive them to completion
  • Excellent business and communication skills to be able to work with business owners to develop and define key business questions and to build data sets that answer those questions
  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices across the development life cycle, including agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Strong supervisory, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to set and meet goals, assess risks and needs, develop schedules, and monitor/communicate status
  • Reasonable tolerance for ambiguity and shifting priorities
  • Ability to work in the following states: CA, AZ, IL, MI, MO, NY, PA, TX, WA
