This Senior staff Engineer will lead the architectural and creative aspects of delivering UI/UX and API's for a wealth of Fanatics’ internal services and applications, this role will provide technical guidance to large teams across the Fanatics organization, solve hard coding problems, unblock engineering teams by proposing simple, scalable solutions and in some cases solving the problem.

Our team is passionate and talented, and we never have to worry about cross- browser compatibility. You’ll be called upon to use your expertise to help craft compelling experiences for business users on top of extremely rich and interconnected datasets.

As a Senior staff engineer, you'll have the creative freedom to determine how best to implement features, you will collaborate with architects and peers across various domains to socialize your ideas and learn from your peers. This is a very visible role where you will be called upon to present your ideas and designs in front of large audiences and be responsible for the overall success of the initiative.

You will own the delivery of product commitments and are always looking to improve productivity. You will coordinate across departments to accomplish collaborative goals.


  • 8-10 years of experience as an engineer, lead
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience working with React, GraphQL, Node.js, TypeScript
  • Experience with building high performance and high throughput API's using Golang, Java, Scala
  • Experience with Load and Performance testing, profiling applications and API's
  • Experience Architecting and Designing Full-stack distributed systems
  • Experience working in a cloud environment
  • Experience in Infrastructure (as code - Terraform)
  • Experience in Databases/data modeling
  • Experience leading a team of 20+ engineers
  • Experience in partnering with product, design and other development teams
  • Experience with Agile (SCRUM)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills


  • Experience building PLM applications in the Retail domain
  • Experience with Merchandizing applications and domain

  • You'll be expected to work directly with PMs and designers to forge scalable solutions
  • You will independently find opportunities to build tooling to improve the lives of our engineers as well as users
  • You have comfort with multiple languages (our primary languages are Golang and JavaScript/TypeScript), and can dive into other codebases to unblock yourself
  • You are Mentor to your team and to the larger fanatics organization

Salary Range for Staff levels: $189,000 - $215,000
