Under limited supervision, the Associate Sourcing Manager, will develop, manage and maintain the data and reporting functions for styles in each seasonal product line. You will assist the Sourcing Manager in the allocation and costing processes, communicate daily with the PCC’s ( Product Creation Centers ), and work cross functionally with the Product Development, Merchandise, Materials and Planning Teams. You will seek advice on complex issues and bring to management’s attention.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor achievement of key development dates (calendar adherence) and alert sourcing offices and/or sourcing manager when help is needed to achieve critical dates.
  • Measure, analyze, take action to critical dates such as material selection, target cost alignment, allocation, tech pack sent timing, cost and proto due dates and review meetings, cost confirmation status, line freeze preparation, and buy ready adherence.
  • Maintain source tracker and communicate updates in a timely manner.
  • Work across departments to construct and maintain a core fabric matrix with corresponding costs. In conjunction with merchandising and design analyze and drive the number of finished goods that go into a specific material. Work with planning, sourcing director, and brand management to develop a material staging strategy.
  • Assist sourcing manager in analyzing factory cost work sheets, work to reduce manufacturing lead times, and production minimums. Highlights to the sourcing manager changes to the product that would necessitate the vendor to re-quote. Analyze and communicates the financial impact of the changes.

Requirements

  • Years of Related Professional Experience: 1+, preferably in Apparel
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent degree in textile or apparel
  • Good understanding of the entire supply chain process from design concept to receipt
  • Detail oriented, and has good analytical, communication, customer services, and project management skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent PC skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Basic textile and construction knowledge
  • Ability to work across teams and departments - must be comfortable working in a team environment
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing, and flexible environment
