Overall accountability quality control processes and policies for print and production quality within the Fanatics Brands domestic print production domestic facilities during inline, production and final inspections including global incoming and outgoing inspections at Fanatics DCs and 3rd party distribution facilities as well as Fanatics 3PL print production network. The Director Quality role and responsibilities include creating, establishing and maintaining quality management processes and procedures, documentation and ownership of DCL, inspections manuals, root cause analysis and corrective action plan for inspection failures. Implements and owns SOPs and standardized documentation for domestic network including 3PL and global inline/final and domestic incoming/outgoing inspections. Provide mentoring at all levels as functional quality leader to support operational and cross functional operations, strategic goals and KPIs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own, develop, implement, monitor quality best practices with goal of continuing process improvement and reducing product returns.
  • Collaborate with Director Commercialization/RnD, developers, sourcing and suppliers during the product commercialization 3PL replen/chase process to preemptively prevent and resolve potential quality problems.
  • Develop and implement supplier quality monitoring processes, performance metrics, tracking and reporting, including both guidelines and processes for vendor self-management systems as well as process and guidelines for Fanatics oversight and monitoring of 3PL domestic suppliers base and product quality.
  • Act as quality contact in support of Vice President Global Quality and Product Integrity to address product quality concerns by working across the operations organization to successfully resolve issues and assure quality concerns are addressed.
  • Own, develop, implement and monitor quality control for Fanatics domestic print and production facilities, 3PL DCs and printer processes and procedures in collaboration with Global HUB Quality Directors for consistency and alignment globally.
  • Responsible for driving, documenting and communicating assigned quality performance metrics.
  • Create and maintain monthly dashboarding of quality and floor ready metrics for corporate transparency and monthly manufacturing meeting.
  • Lead, coach and successful development of assigned team.
  • Recruit, train, maintain and supervise industry best QA staff and managers.
  • Work on special projects as assigned by Vice President Global Quality and Product Integrity.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor of engineering degree or equivalent in a related field
  • 10-15 years relevant experience in garment print/sew manufacturing and distribution
  • Technical background with knowledge in garment construction and screen print
  • Intimately familiar with industry standard quality processes/procedures and compliance regulations
  • Ability to introduce and implement new processes and procedures
  • Ability to communicate across multiple cultural and experience levels, internal and external
  • Proven leadership skills and communication skills are a must
  • Strong computer skills in Excel, Word and necessary systems needed
  • Travel required
