Fanatics Betting and Gaming is seeking a Director, Procure-to-Pay who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment to join our high-energy accounting and finance team. The Director, Procure-to-Pay plays a critical role within the accounting and finance department. Reporting to the Controller, VP of Accounting, this individual is primarily focused on developing and managing the procurement function within the organization. This position will design and lead implementation of more automated, scalable

processes and will manage all transactional and operational activities of this function. Assignments maybe advanced or specialized and may involve complex and/or confidential data requiring the use of independent judgment. This includes assisting business owners with assessing and determining the most cost-effective sourcing strategies, negotiating major sourcing contracts, maintaining and enforcing

purchase order procedures and processes, and ensuring departments coordinate material purchasing through the procurement team. Our successful candidate must be a collaborative professional with the background and interpersonal skills to function successfully in a high growth and fast-paced environment with excellent skills around prioritization, collaboration and influencing. This position will have high exposure to all other areas and will frequently interact with business owners and other finance and

accounting departments. Our candidate will be expected to anticipate and surface issues, solve problems and recommend solutions, while exercising good business judgment and risk management. This role requires strong communication skills to effectively facilitate information flow between business functions and Accounting and Finance, and to drive discussions with executives.

Director, Procure-to-Pay Responsibilities:

 Partner with business leaders to determine key sourcing needs and partner with finance to adhere to department budgets

 Define and implement procedures for vendor management, invoices, purchase orders, contracts, and other similar transactions

 Develop and document business processes and accounts payables accounting policies to strengthen internal controls

 Develop and maintain financial reporting processes and operational controls for procurement and accounts payable activities

 Manage the contract creation process to ensure business and legal needs are incorporated by examining and evaluating vendor relationships

 Drive RFI and RFP processes and assist with vendor contract negotiations to drive the most optimal cost-effective solutions

 Build and maintain relationships by collaborating across departmental lines and throughout – fostering trust and accountability

 Assure timely adherence to monthly closing timelines and other deadlines including review of payment batches, reconciliations, balance sheet flux, etc.

 Assist with all external and internal audits to ensure complete, timely, and accurate responses to information requests

 Communicate with various departments and vendors on escalations, expenditure information, payment status, vendor master data, and others

 Partner with the data analytics team to produce and analyze KPI’s, dashboards, and robust tracking and reporting mechanisms to help business owners understand the performance, opportunities and challenges

 Provide support for special projects, business initiatives, system upgrades etc. as needed

 Be a key driver on efficiency improvement by continuously reviewing existing processes,

defining new and more efficient solutions, and applying best practices

Minimum Qualifications

 Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance

 8+ years of accounting/finance experience in both public accounting and industry with

progressively increasing responsibilities

 Considerable knowledge of best practices in procurement

 Considerable knowledge of modern, professional accounting principles and practices

 Thorough knowledge of accounts payable accounting policies

 Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and determine and implement effective action plans

 Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to work successfully with teams across the organization; experience influencing and leveraging the skills of yourself and others to achieve objectives

 Ability to think strategically, synthesize the most complex data and develop innovative solutions within an entrepreneurial environment

 Excellent written, oral, organizational, and presentation skills to influence company leadership and decisions at all levels

 Ability to design workflow processes, plans and KPIs.

 Ability to juggle multiple priorities and make things happen in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment; strong bias for action and value adds, coupled with excellent judgment

 Advanced excel skills required

Preferred Qualifications

 Advanced degree or qualification in Finance, Economics or Accounting (e.g. MBA or CPA)

coupled with solid accounting skills and experience

 10+ years experience in professional procurement including processes, operational planning, governance, systems, training program and reporting capability to optimize financial and operational excellence

 Experience leading the entire procure to pay process, including general vendor oversight and approval, payment management, and vendor dispute resolution

 Prior experience creating a brand-new procurement department and implementing new processes

 Experience implementing procurement processes from the ground up in a fast growth

environment

 Proven excellence in fast paced and unstructured business environments

 Advanced knowledge of sourcing and purchasing techniques

 Contracting and contract management skills
