We are seeking an Engineer II for our Sportsbook Platform team. This role reports to our Sr. Software Development Manager and is responsible for helping enhance our Sportsbook Platform, internal tools and supporting systems. The role will work closely other members of the engineering organization helping them build secure APIs that enable a friction less betting experience for our customers. This engineer will have the opportunity to build a scalable architecture with support both our Mobile Online and Retail customers.
Duties and responsibilities may include:
-Develop a strong understanding of Fanatics Betting and Gaming.
Communicate, develop, and implement a data-driven engineering strategy, approach, and roadmap for -Engineering needs.
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, inside and outside of Engineering, and collaborate to gather and present testing metrics and activities.
--Help development teams adhere to the principles, guidelines, and best practices of the engineering strategy.
-Remain current on technology and trends in engineering.

-Experience with backend services using modern technologies (Java or equivalent object oriented language + React + Redis + Elasticsearch + Javascript)
-Positive and flexible attitude to work in a fast-paced environment and a willingness to embrace new initiatives.
-Strong report writing skills with the ability to gather, evaluate and analyze relevant information while structuring material in a logical and coherent manner.
