The Head of Broadcasting & Creative Technologies will help lead the build out and maintaining of our streaming, studio, control room, edit, graphics and remote production technologies. You’ll work hand-in-hand with management to plan and coordinate for the scaling of our breaker network and its corresponding broadcast infrastructure. Communication across the production, content and breaker teams will be essential to understanding requirements and how they will constantly change & scale. You should have specialty experience in broadcast engineering/streaming production technologies. The Head of Broadcasting & Creative Technologies will also build and supervise a small team or broadcast support and network specialist.


  • Troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance of streaming broadcast equipment, computers, network infrastructure and breakers broadcasting network in a 24x7x365 environment.
  • Configure and optimize multiple broadcast streams and seamlessly integrate yet to be built control room and edit suites
  • Serve as the lead broadcasting technical support during important live streams/shows
  • Communicate with Executive Producers & Directors to resolve technical issues
  • Document quality standards, system anomalies and operational procedures
  • Maintain serve relationships with appropriate broadcasting vendors
  • Create Cap-X recommendations for new in studio and remote production equipment.

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Attributes

  • 10-15 years of experience in broadcast engineering or an equivalent field
  • 5+ years in live TV/Streaming production
  • Proven track record of starting, participating, managing and finalizing large technical projects
  • Must be knowledgeable in all areas of technical production and repair, configuration and operation of all studio production equipment including Broadcast Audio, Video, Control/Switcher Systems, Graphics, Video Servers, Storage Area Networks, RF Systems, Editing Systems and Post-Production Workflows and Systems
  • Direct knowledge of Ross: video switcher, cg, playout and routers a plus
  • Experience with production and post workflows including custom MAM, SAN and DAM workflows
  • Detailed understanding of IT Networking and Systems, Firewalls, Fiber-Optics, MPEG, SAN and RAID based systems, TCP/IP, DNS, SNMP and Active Directory
  • Experience with Apple Editing Systems and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Understanding of broadcast television and streaming technologies from studio and post-production to master control and distribution
  • An ability to work on multiple tasks and projects and once
  • Solutions based, team player and excellent communicator
