Under general supervision, sets up and operates laser cutter, single sided laminator and clicker die cutter. Perform cutting operation to close tolerances and cuts on a variety of substrates.

Essential Job Functions

•Modifies EPS files from Art Department server using Corel Draw ® for accurate and efficient laser cutting.

•Laminates and glues acrylic, Masonite and adhesives to substrates to customer requirements.

•Creates acrylic clicker dies using computer files and laser cutter.

•Set-up and laser cuts a variety of substrates according to customer requirements. High degree of skill to hold very close tolerances.

•Set-up and operates a clicker die cutter to cut out acrylic magnets.

•Inspects all products for accurate color match to meet customer requirements.

•Inspects, cleans and change lenses and align mirrors as needed.

•Inspects, cleans and bulk packages all laser cut product.

•Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to all equipment.

•Monitor floor stock inventory and order raw material as needed.

•Prioritize jobs to meet customer deadlines and efficient use of equipment.

•Maintains system for storage of hundreds of acrylic magnet die shapes.

•Read shop packet, art forms, color copies, etc. to determine customer specifications.

•Move all orders on the computer FMS Move system.

•Safely move and transport orders and laser materials.

•Fill out all required paperwork including production sheets, return to art forms, order alerts, shop packets, work lists, order shortages, scrap tracking, etc. as needed. Report any incorrect paperwork to leadership.

•Assist in the training of new laser cutters.

•Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required

Education

•High school graduate or its equivalent.

Knowledge

•Knowledge of and ability to solve routine laser problems.

•Knowledge of and ability to perform preventive maintenance procedures and use hand tools.

Skills

•Basis computer skills.

•Basic math skills.

•Requires close attention to the image details.

Abilities

•Ability to calculate and cut for maximum material utilization.

•Ability to read, interpret art forms, shop packets, color concepts, and communicate effectively.

Physical Requirements

•Ability to lift 50lbs

•Able to stand for entire shift

•Comfortable using a ladder

•Able to twist and bend
