This role provides transparency, traceability, and consistency to how materials are governed, and suppliers managed. It will support Fanatics Materials and sustainability teams in material compliance & sustainability goals. Working closely with the material and operational teams along with the material suppliers and logistics providers.

Responsibilities

• Direct and collaborate with supply chain partners on compliance directives and reporting for raw materials – fabric, trims, components.
• Lead material mills with compliance reporting and audits of raw materials (yarn, fabric, chemicals, inks and dyestuffs).
• Provide consultation and direction to material suppliers & drive material compliant and sustainability strategies.
• Collaborate with business partners and suppliers to solve source challenges with compliant raw material needs and balance against source strategies.
• Eliminate negative pathways and non compliant approaches and expansion of preferred pathways. Drive and maximize positive origin raw material selection.
• Support and collaborate to up stream mapping and capability overviews to manufacturing process optimization.
• Share best practices with suppliers across all disciplines.
• Manage the compliant material record keeping and documentation.
• Drive discipline for timely and accurate data management.
• Provide expertise to team and suppliers on raw material compliance initiatives.
• Continually develop to stay up to date on the latest developments by discipline (government initiatives, incentives, and changes in local legislation etc.).

Requirements

• Suitable degree and additional industry experience (especially sporting goods or apparel manufacturing) preferred. Graduates in other engineering disciplines will also be considered.
• 3-5 years of experience in the field of material factory compliant management or other manufacturing compliant related work.
• Knowledge of material compliance, sourcing and manufacturing protocols, trends and jargon.
• Excellent English, oral and written communication skills as well as competence in using computer software programs.
• Good organizational skill and ability to work with little or no direct supervision.
• Good interpersonal skill, problem solving and communication skills.
• Willing to travel and work on the manufacturing production floor.
