Fanatics Collectibles is looking for a Principal Product Manager, Data. This person would be responsible for the process of collecting, storing, normalizing, organizing, sharing and prioritizing card, pricing, consumer and product data, as well as working with stakeholders to conceive and build both internal- and consumer-facing data applications and tools.

As the Principal Product Manager, Data, you will look at card and pricing data through the lens of our digital products, determining what data FC’s digital products need to deliver a best-in-class collector experience and how best to integrate that data. You will support the selling of trading cards across the product lifecycle, from primary sale and breaking to secondary sale. This role requires a complete understanding of the trading card ecosystem and how the value of trading card products can fluctuate on a daily basis—and the many different variables that can contribute to their market value. You will work closely with a variety of business stakeholders, including a BI data team, as well as your counterparts on the engineering, product and design teams.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product road map and requirements for all data, including card, pricing, consumer and digital product analytics
  • Oversee development of an easy-to-access database of trading card set information
  • Determine with BI partners relevant data sources and how to ingest, normalize and access them
  • Collaborate with business side to establish data partnerships with third parties
  • Work with engineering and BI data team to determine replicable, predictive pricing models, as well different ways of visualizing and making use of these models
  • Conceive of and build data-driven consumer-facing collector tools
  • Establish best practices for the collection and storage of digital data

Qualifications

  • Experience: You have 6+ years product management experience in a similar data role. Understanding of the trading card space and breaking is a bonus.
  • Execution: You have led product at fast growing organizations which are able to execute consistently, delivering quality projects of the broadest scope and impact on time
  • Technical: You are comfortable working with engineering leadership to prioritize broadly and you understand technical complexities of your product areas
  • Analytical: You have a good grasp of experiment design, statistical analysis and multivariate testing. You can use data to set OKRs, create dashboards to monitor product health, review analyses from across the company and develop basic models. You can construct a narrative for using data in order to drive the decision making process
  • Organizational skills: You are able to manage relationships with stakeholders across the organization. You have experience working closely with business & marketing partners
  • Communication: You’re a strong communicator, both written and orally. You enjoy working with complex concepts and distilling them down so that anyone can understand them. You’re comfortable working cross functionally with stakeholders and can manage competing needs to drive alignment and resolution
