The HRIS Analyst is a professional position within the HRIS organization. The primary focus of this role is the day-to-day/front-line support of all Fanatics Human Capital Management systems (payroll, time keeping, application tracking systems, performance management, learning management, etc.).

Responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate effectively to a diverse customer base, a keen attention to detail, and the desire to deliver high quality results that balance business needs and system functionality.

  • Production Support & Maintenance ( % of time: 65 )

  • Determines the most effective technical approach to define and resolve identified problem(s) with assistance and minimal client impact.

  • Takes proactive measures to ensure optimal application and system performance and works with Human Capital Management software vendors to resolve issues.

  • Recommend process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy that must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to implementation.

  • Assist in the review, testing and implementation of system upgrades or patches.

  • Provides new and innovative alternative solutions to HRIS system and application challenges.

  • Maintain Human Capital Management system tables, pay rules, business process configuration, and update as necessary.

  • Develop new, or modify existing integrations to internal and external clients using technologies including configurable fields, imports/exports, business intelligence reporting, etc.

  • Preserve the integrity of the system by facilitating security requests and modifications.

  • Training ( % of time: 15 )

  • Develop end-user procedures, guidelines, and documentation.

  • Train employees, managers, and Human Resources teammates on new processes/functionality.

  • Create web-based training videos to support existing system functionality and on-board new HR end-users.

  • Facilitate formal and informal training sessions and workshops.

  • Projects/Process Improvement ( % of time: 5 )

  • Analyzes user requirements to determine HRIS system configuration and/or customization, evaluates business need for system customizations and conducts appropriate cost/benefit analysis, and produces technical designs for identified customizations.

  • Coordinates with HRIS Business Analysts and/or other internal professionals to define detailed requirements, analyze business needs, validate solutions with clients, and translate into configuration and/or customization technical design.

  • Test and activate new application solutions, changes or enhancements made to HRIS modules or system as a whole using Release Management tools and/or processes.

  • Work with project management and leadership to ensure the timely delivery of new functionality and enhancements.

  • Reports/Metrics ( % of time: 15 )

  • Build queries, reports, and dashboards to support business needs utilizing appropriate reporting tools.

  • Assist in the development of report standards and templates.

  • Ensures data quality and integrity by performing regular maintenance and system audits.

  • Maintain listing of scheduled/burst reports and monitor for successful event execution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Statistical Analysis, Human Resources or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong technical skills and expertise with Ultimate Software (UltiPro HCM), Cognos Analytics, Tableau, or other HRIS.
  • Strong consultative, critical thinking and analytic skills; able to build effective partnerships across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate analytics and insights to a non-technical audience.
  • Continuous improvement mindset and a passion for measuring results through data and metrics.
  • Strong business and financial acumen, with proven ability in data analysis and interpretation, statistical application and workforce modeling.
  • Ability to execute job responsibilities with minimal supervision / involvement from others.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance business expectations with compliance, the company's policies, and preferences through negotiation and appropriate escalation.
  • Other important information about this position:
  • Some travel may be required.
  • This position requires weekday (Monday - Friday) attendance with some scheduling flexibility available around core working hours.
