Job summary:

A new and exciting opportunity to join a global network services team with exposure to leading technologies in SDWan, Network Security, Wired/Wireless Infrastructure, Cloud Networking, and Network Automation.

In this role you will plan, implement, and oversee the Fanatics networks supporting voice, data, video, and wireless services for both internal and externally facing systems. Daily work with international stakeholders to build and maintain a highly available network infrastructure for Fanatics user and business activity. A fantastic opportunity to work on various and diverse technologies including load balancers, proxies, Out-of-band management, and CCTV.

General duties and responsibilities:

•Ensure appropriate network monitoring and alerting to reduce MTTR

•Troubleshooting any outages in the network and any network related application issues.

•Configuration and maintenance of network devices such as Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Load Balancers, IP Voice infrastructure, and other network related devices.

•On-call, 24x7 on-call rotation

•Understands and adheres to the system level architecture and standards.

•Keeps abreast of technology developments in area of expertise.

•Works to build and deploy new networks and maintain existing networks at remote facilities and datacenters.

•Works with various application teams to ensure overall health and deliverability of our applications.

•Ensures the successful execution and delivery of projects with a focus on continual improvements in ability to execute those projects

•Reviews progress and evaluates results of technical projects within span of control. Recommends necessary actions based on analysis.

•Evaluate new and evolving technology for applicability and impact on operational goals.

•Takes responsibility when problems or opportunities are identified and initiates actions that result in high-quality solutions.

•Provides subject matter expertise in areas of the network where applicable

•Prepares and presents status, technical, and management reports as required.

•Responds to any alerts in the system and drives the issue through to resolution.

•Strong analytical abilities and professional office experience necessary.

•Must develop an understanding of system trends and the mission of the group in order to provide the most cost effective and efficient systems.

•Must be able to travel locally and open to international travel

Preferred Education & Experience:

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and/or equivalent technical experience. (Ideally 3+ yrs).

•Cisco certifications are highly desirable

•Data Center Experience

•Viptela and Meraki experience

•Firewall configuration/management experience (Palo Alto, Cisco, Fortinet)

•Wireless LAN experience (Cisco, Mist)

•IP Voice experience

•Equinix Cloud Exchange experience

•AWS and Azure experience

•Network Monitoring/Automation experience (SolarWinds preferred)

•IP Services (DNS, DHCP, Proxy, Load Balancing) experience

General knowledge, skills and abilities:

•Ability to effectively collaborate as a team – mostly virtual

•Ability to communicate professionally with customers

•Knowledge of Cisco IOS/IOS-XE, NX-OS.

•Must demonstrate skills to configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, and firewalls.

•Knowledge of carrier provided network access (e.g. MPLS, DIA, Broadband, and VPLS)

•Experience configuring NATs, ACLs, TACACS+, Zone Based Firewalls, 802.1X

•Knowledge of QoS methodologies and configuration.

•Ability to troubleshoot applying OSI model layers, use of packet/protocol analyzers and output interpretation, knowledge of CLI debugging and logging options.

•Experience implementing IPSec and other VPN technologies such as L2TP, DMVPN, GRE.

•Knowledge of BGP, iBGP, EIGRP, OSFP, route maps, route filters, etc.

•Knowledge of HSRP and VRRP.

•Ability to create and maintain technical documentation.

•Experience implementing local area, wireless and wide area networks.

•Knowledge of Configuration Management/Monitoring tools.
