As a Senior Quality Automation Engineer at Fanatics, you will specialise in building automated testing frameworks and pipelines including test suites, reporting capabilities and continuous integration.
Responsibilities:
•Nurture a culture of quality through collaboration with teammates across the engineering function to make sure quality is embedded in both processes and technology.
•Develop quality focused test strategies that help the team deliver software that provides maximum quality without sacrificing business value. (Test early and often)
•Work with multiple teams of engineers and product managers to gather requirements and data sources to design and build test plan.
•Participate in projects developed with agile methodology.
•Design and document test cases and test data.
•Be a power user for our PyTest plugin-based automation framework, working closely with the framework team to extend the feature set.
•Perform exploratory/manual tests as needed for UX and APIs.
•Write, execute, and monitor automated test suites.•Integrate tests as part of continuous delivery pipelines.
•Build quality monitoring solutions and dashboards.
•Define quality metrics for the specific project
•Mentor/coach team members to ensure appropriate testing coverage within the team with a focus on continuous testing and a ‘shift left’ approach.
•Contribute to process improvements and refinement of Quality Engineering practices across the global QE function.
•Recommend best test practices and evangelise a DevOps culture to empower the team to make sound engineering decisions.
A suitable candidate would have:
•Minimum 5 years of testing experience working with applications developed in languages like .NET, Python, Golang, Java.
•Experience on modern Quality Engineering principles such as Continuous Testing and Shift Left.
•Good understanding of service oriented and microservices architecture.
•Experience in a programming language like .NET, Python, Java, Golang, using it for automation.
•Experience with cloud environments like AWS, GCP, source control tools like Github and continuous integration and delivery software, preferable, Gitlab.•
Experience with AWS services like EC2, S3, SQS, RDS, Elasticache.
•Experience with applications deployed using container orchestration (Kubernetes) a plus.
•Experience in developing test plans, documenting test cases and building automated test suites for API's REST and gRPC
•Experience with applications using producer/consumer models and event streaming like Kafka, RabbitMQ, Pulsar.
•Experience with testing and acceptance software like Selenium, Testrail, frameworks like Cucumber, Pytest and API testing tools like Postman •Attitude to work in a fast-pace environment which values agility over talk
•Great communication skills
