Who We Are:

We are looking for a talented engineer to join our Privacy Engineering team in building innovative tools and scalable frameworks that can enable Fanatics to stay at the forefront of adapting to new privacy laws & regulations efficiently and can enable engineering teams to adopt privacy-by-design principles without impacting their core business deliveries.

In this role, you will:

  • Conceptualize, architect, and develop tools and services to measure and enable engineering teams to manage their data in an intentional and thoughtful way
  • Drive delivery of innovative privacy solutions integrated cohesively into engineering teams' software development process
  • Lead and execute the entire lifecycle of a large-scaled project/feature from inception to adoption
  • Partner closely with Product Manager and various stakeholders to identify potential use cases transpiring into requirements that are coherent to our long-term vision
  • Contribute to an atmosphere of cross-functional teamwork
  • Operate with a product mindset

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 7 years of hands-on software development experience
  • Strong experience architecting and developing highly resilient, performant and scalable distributed systems
  • Strong hands-on programming skills in multiple languages (E.G. Go, Python, Java)
  • Strong experience in SQL Databases and data modeling
  • Deep understanding of software development lifecycle, CI/CD ecosystem and container technologies like Docker and ECS
  • Practical experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform in a cloud environment (AWS preferred)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience with building automated privacy & compliance processes to support privacy laws & regulations and security compliance frameworks
  • Experience with Privacy by Design principles
  • Experience with frontend development using React, NodeJS, TypeScript
  • Experience with workflow management tool such as Temporal
