Fanatics Collectibles is a new company working at the intersection of collectibles and technology. The role of the Technical Program Manager is to successful delivery of programs and projects through a project management process in close collaboration with business partners, team members and various Tech functions. This individual will assume end-to-end accountability for single or multiple concurrent projects and large programs consisting of multiple projects. The Technical Program Manager will coordinate the work of project managers, create, and maintain interlocking schedules for projects of a program, track program interdependencies, maintain and present status of the program, track, and address risks/issues at the program level. The TPM will provide process leadership and support to other Project Managers in structuring projects, consult on the use of project management tools. The Program Manager will also serve as a mentor to project managers.

What you'll be doing

  • Coordinate with Project Managers and other IT business units, as well as vendors
  • Manage program's budget, work on multiple projects, handle conflict/issues, and track progress
  • Maintain strong customer focus while coordinating and collaborating with stakeholders, vendors, and Tech resources in implementation of key projects using effective verbal and written communication.
  • Manage programs and/or multiple concurrent projects which are not necessarily related or interdependent.
  • Host and present status to the Tech Leadership.
  • Provide leadership to project managers, foster a positive team environment, and provide direction in ambiguous situations.
  • Use negotiation skills, influence, and creativity to achieve successful outcomes around scope, schedule, costs/budget, issues/risks, and resources.
  • Be a resource to project managers in developing upfront estimates of time and resource utilization through organized discovery with stakeholders, Tech resources and vendors.
  • Manage the program budget process and coordinate with managers, project managers and vendors to ensure project resources are applied efficiently and effectively.
  • Arbitrate and resolve conflict within the program when necessary. Understand appropriate paths and methods for escalation.
  • Maintain strong customer focus while coordinating and collaborating with stakeholders, vendors, and IT resources in implementation of key projects using effective verbal and written communication.
  • Manage programs and/or multiple concurrent projects which are not necessarily related or interdependent.
  • Be initiative-taking and exercise initiative in identifying, tracking, and removing impediments to program success. Approach risk identification and mitigation, accordingly, including establishing contingency plans and initiating corrective action.
  • Understand how individual projects affect the program/portfolio and exercise judgement in raising issues and risks to the program/portfolio level.

What we're looking for

  • Years of Experience: 8 years direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.
  • Strong familiarity with project management software.
  • Experiences with Agile Methodology
  • Experience with implementing and managing Agile Scrum teams
  • Demonstrated experience in personnel management.
  • Technically competent with various software programs, such as Excel, Power Point, MS Project, Visio.
  • Skilled in negotiating and problem solving with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Deep understanding of and ability to manage Project and Software Development Life Cycle (s) using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Above average organizational and people Skills
  • Certifications: Project Management Professional – ACP, preferred
