The Trim Analyst as part of the product creation center will be responsible for managing the development of any nominated trims of assigned product lines from concept to commercialization. The role will also oversee data recording and analysis of trends by components and suppliers. The position will work closely with cross-functional teams and suppliers in accordance with end-user needs, meeting quality standards, consistency and functionality, as well as price expectations. This position needs to be highly organized, detailed and action oriented, with the ability to be flexible and mange a large workload in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Follow up the timely execution of new developments with suppliers and sourcing team.
  • Research, prepare and present data analysis in order to find opportunities for trims suppliers based in the WH region.
  • Ability to anticipate problems, offer solutions, and address issues with trims in order to meet cross-functional team’s aesthetic goals.
  • Ability to create, plan and effectively deliver presentations in formal and informal settings.
  • Follow up toolbox updates.
  • Own communication channel between development team, materials and nominated suppliers.
  • Ensure PLM entries are maintained for all trim development in respective category.
  • Receive and review submits from nominated suppliers prior to reviewing with development & materials team.
  • Work closely with Tampa and hubs color team on all trim color reviews.
  • Build and maintain development trackers daily.
  • Maintain relevant data for metric reporting/adoption ratio and scorecard reporting.
  • Work closely with Tampa to initiate development testing & oversee vendor communication until testing passes.
  • Work cross-functionally with Sourcing operation, Product development, Product Integrity on any costing or any counter sourcing need.
  • Travel as necessary to research trends of products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering / Information Systems or equivalent degree.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in the textile industry with good understanding of the entire supply chain process from design concept to receipt
  • Basic textile and construction knowledge.
  • Must be able to identify issues and analyze relevant data to determine the correct and appropriate course of action and generate solutions.
  • Must be deadline driven and have a pro-active and creative approach to problem solving.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, follow-up skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills (Proficient in English/Spanish)
  • Excellent PC skills (advanced Excel, Power BI, SQL, Power Point, Outlook)
  • Ability to work across teams and departments - must be comfortable in working in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing, and flexible environment.
