Summary/Objective: Field Nation is looking for a Market Research intern to help identify exciting new product opportunities. The Market Research Intern will play a crucial role for our product team by conducting timely market research and competitive analysis while collaborating with internal teams. This paid internship offers the chance to work in a fast-paced, high growth software product team to accelerate growth. This position reports to the Marketplace Group Product Manager. The role can be located in Minneapolis but has the possibility of being remote.

Projects Include:

• Perform market research and analysis to identify new market opportunities by industry segment
• Build a comprehensive analysis of our target markets researching market size, market drivers, and key players by industry segment
• Identify and monitor market drivers to provide insight into serviceable market opportunities
• Work cross-functionally to share findings by industry segment to drive qualified sales opportunities
• Aggregate interview findings, synthesize feedback, analyze and assist in summarizing finding

Required Experience and Background:

• College Senior or Masters Degree Student pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, Data Science, or equivalent
• Experience or interest in market research via social channels (i.e. Reddit, Twitter followers for specific industry, etc)
• Ability to identify, propose and implement solutions
• High comfort level with conducting advanced Google searches for research purposes
• Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Experience working with Tableau and Salesforce is a plus
• Previous experience with or knowledge of the market segmentation process or student research is a plus
