Who we are

Getaround connects safe, convenient, and affordable cars with people who need them to live and work. Our community includes guests who rely on our cars for on-demand mobility and hosts who share cars on our platform, including those who operate their own car-sharing businesses.

Our connected car technology allows guests to book and unlock a wide variety of vehicles directly from our app without ever having to meet anyone in person, carry an access card, wait in line, or coordinate picking up keys. Cars are parked 22 hours a day on average. When we share cars, we don’t need as many on the road, which means fewer accidents, reduced traffic, and less space required for parking. Car sharing modernizes mobility by allowing people to connect multiple forms of efficient transportation for any type of use case.

Studies have shown that when car sharing is available, people drive less and drive vehicles more appropriate for their use case, which can reduce household carbon emissions by up to 40%. Also, shared cars are used more frequently and retired more quickly, accelerating the adoption of newer, more energy- efficient vehicles.

The Opportunity

Getaround’s Marketplace Strategy team is the nerve center that sets the direction for our organization and tackles our most challenging cross- functional problems. We are looking for an Analyst to join our elite Supply Strategy squad. You will help drive the growth and optimization of supply (cars) on the Getaround platform and execute mission-critical initiatives that will influence the long-term success of our business.

Reporting directly to the Lead of Supply Strategy, this is a rare opportunity to join a fast-paced, high-growth startup and drive change by collaborating with a dynamic and cross-functional group.

As a Marketplace Strategy & Operations team member, you will explore and surface insights into Getaround’s marketplaces and how hosts behave within these markets. The Marketplace Strategy & Operations team leverages data to solve significant business problems today, tomorrow, and far down the road. You could be working on a few examples of key initiatives - improving host retention, identifying levers to unlock supply growth, and creating marketplace health data visualizations.

What You'll Do

  • Analyze Data : Using a suite of data analysis tools, identify key trends and opportunities in the business. This data will facilitate the design of process, policy, and product solutions to improve performance and growth.
  • Surface Results: Using data warehouses, build internal executive-facing dashboards and reports that will enable rapid assessment of business performance and guide operation direction.
  • User Experience: Objectively assess the host user experience on our platform and develop empirically-backed recommendations to improve engagement and retention.
  • Project Management / BizOps : Support critical initiatives to identify and quantify strategic growth opportunities and areas for operational improvements and sustainable design solutions.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration : Communication is at the core of what makes us successful at Getaround. In this role, you’ll work with Product, Engineering, Sales, CX, and Demand Strategy teams and surface key insights.

What You'll Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, statistics/finance, program management, or strategic operations roles
  • Demonstrated track record of leveraging data for business impact
  • Excellent organizational skills with an ability to identify and triage multiple priorities
  • Strong data analysis skills - particularly Google sheets / Looker (Redash/ R / Python/ SQL a plus)
  • Experience in data visualization (GIS/ Tableau/ leaflet)
  • Strong analytical mind to assess complex problems
  • Strong ability to synthesize insights from market/competitor research into potential opportunities
  • Relevant industry experience in marketplace business, Autotech, or high-growth startup is a plus
