System Engineer – ServiceNow

100% Remote

The Systems Engineer – ServiceNow is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing technical solutions on Getty’s ServiceNow platform. This position will provide administration, maintenance, application development and technical support to deliver robust solutions to the users of the platform.

Your next challenge:

  • Provide software coding and customization including, but not limited to workflow administration, flow designer, report setup, data imports, integration using REST API, scripting, third party software integrations, and custom application development
  • Perform ServiceNow instance upgrades including testing to ensure all applications are functional post-upgrade
  • Manage tool configuration to ensure function and reliability
  • Maintain uptime and functionality by implementing and monitoring changes to effect the least disruption to operations
  • Provide expertise for all technical issues related to development
  • Identify opportunities for improvement within our platform, and recommend solutions and enhancements
  • Develop processes with the platform that improve user experience
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner and business partners to establish requirements, specifications, and timelines
  • Train staff on new features and processes
  • Create and maintain system design and operations documentation

Who you are:

  • 3+ years’ direct experience in ServiceNow platform development, including:

  • Customizations within the platform

  • Integrations with other services (e.g.: Active Directory, Okta, PagerDuty, Crowdstrike, etc.)

  • Upgrades and functional testing

  • Experienced with ITSM. ITIL certification preferred

  • Current ServiceNow Certified System Administrator

  • Experienced using JavaScript and PowerShell

  • Experienced collaborating with other engineers to develop solutions and changes

  • Adaptable to change and able to work independently and as part of a team

  • Able to manage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining a high level of attention to detail on each project

  • Able to interact with all levels of internal and external business partners

  • Avid learner, seeking to continually add to your relevant skillset

  • Familiar with UI, SQL, HTML and CSS

Mental and physical demands:

  • A quiet location with reliable high-speed internet connectivity, an environment suitable for professional work (desk, chair, external monitor, etc.)
  • Frequent communication with others to exchange information
  • Frequent sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing; Time of each will vary
  • Constant operation of computer and frequent usage of other office machinery, including (but not limited to) calculator, copy machine, computer printer, etc
  • Constant assessment of accuracy and thoroughness of the work assignment
