We are looking for a hands on Corporate Controller to lead our US accounting and payroll operations. In this role, you will establish financial policies, procedures and internal controls needed to be public company ready. Reporting into the Chief Accounting Officer, this person will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Corporate accounting function by providing leadership, process knowledge, technical expertise, and business collaboration. This position can work remotely within the US. #LI-Remote.

What you will do:

  • Lead core accounting activities including global close coordination, global consolidations and US region general accounting.
  • Oversee payroll operations to ensure transactions are timely, complete and in compliance with all policies and regulations.
  • Review financial results and transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness of information on a monthly basis.
  • Provide guidance on technical accounting issues and ensure operational processes are aligned with our policies.
  • Drive career development for the accounting team, providing the leadership and structure for the team to excel as the company grows.

  • Collaborate with partners in and outside of finance including to build scalable processes to support growth while also ensuring accuracy, compliance, and integrity.
  • Identify risk areas in a high growth environment and implement mitigation strategies, including but not limited to team structure, workflow, cross-functional collaboration and system, and process changes.
  • Has a keen focus on agility, and capable of pivoting based on changing business needs, while keeping the accounting team in a steady-state.
  • Maintain the relationship with external auditors, provide pragmatic solutions and alternatives to challenging audit requests and inquiries.
  • Maintain relationships with third-party service providers.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to align with ICFOR requirements.
  • Benchmark and coordinate with industry peers on standard methodologies related to accounting, systems, policies, and processes.
  • Participate in key strategic initiatives and assist with other ad hoc projects.

What you will bring:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience, including Big 4 public accounting experience and experience working in publicly traded companies.
  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making capacity in a high growth environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build new capabilities, with a process orientation.
  • Proven record of mentoring and developing talent.
  • Comfortable leading teams through ambiguity and be a champion of change.
  • High emotional intelligence, ability to build and sustain relationships at multiple levels within and outside of finance.
  • Passionate and persistent about operational excellence.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, active listener, tailors communication to the audience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities, and adhere to tight deadlines.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent (Preferred).
  • SaaS industry experience (Preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
