As a Cloud Operations Engineer, you are the face of Icertis Cloud Organization. Alongside Cloud Engineers, you'll provide direct developer and user support to Icertis engineers and customers as they scope, deploy, manage and extend cloud hosting to solve challenging data problems.

You will be responsible for the design, implementation and operation of workflows that ensure the smooth communication of cloud information and expertise between Icertis Engineering teams, users, and customers. You're impeccably organized and able to manage your time between quick tasks and large projects. Keen to see every problem, question, or project through to resolution, you thrive in ensuring that Icertis employees and users have all the help they need at their fingertips.

You have a passion for learning and developing technical expertise and the communication skills (both written and verbal) to translate complex technical concepts to customers of all technical abilities. Responsibilities:

  • You will be working with a massive-scale multi-cloud environment and will take part in deployments, upgrades, incident, problem & capacity management functions. You will work on production & non-production environments to ensure all services are running reliably & securely.
  • Perform deployments, upgrades on Azure/AWS production & non-production environments using TFS/Azure DevOps on an intensive CI/CD pipeline
  • Day-to-day operational support of product infrastructure on all three major public cloud services
  • Interact with customers on/off-site to troubleshoot issues, provide workarounds by leveraging your troubleshooting skills
  • Create and manage processes for the secure operation of customer cloud environments
  • System (Windows, Linux, and SQL Databases) and Network administration
  • Use incident management tools used in incident analysis and troubleshooting. Identify, escalate, and communicate issues in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to building a knowledge base centered on known incidents/defects, Frequently Asked Questions, resolved issues, applying lessons learned and previous resolutions to new incidents.
  • Build hosting environments for clients all over the world
  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers to ensure that critical and time-sensitive projects run smoothly and achieve the business outcome
  • On-call responsibilities to respond to emergency situations and scheduled maintenance
  • Contribute to and maintain documentation for systems, processes, procedures, and infrastructure configuration.

Skills:

  • Minimum 8-10 years of working with mission-critical, 24x7 Cloud Operations/SRE teams (preferably MS Azure) to execute upgrades, deployments, user & infra provisioning, incident & change management.
  • Strong Windows Systems, SQL Database, and Network administration skills
  • Strong understanding of cloud concepts, applications, storage, compute, and networking components
  • Readiness to work in 24x7 rotational shift model
  • Scripting in PowerShell, Linux shell, Python, or C#
  • Proactive and self-motivated, committed to achieving deadlines, meeting SLAs, and producing results
  • Excellent customer service and people skills. Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication and relationship building skills
  • Ability to be a good listener, and to understand customer issues. Ability to provide innovative workarounds or design a solution to fix a customer’s problem
  • Ability to work in a fast-changing, agile environment where change is constant

Good to have skills:

  • SQL/Azure Portal/Azure DevOps/VS/AAD:
  • SQL DBA skills DB always-on, replication, performance, backup/restore
  • Experience of working with Elastic Search, Kibana, Redis Cache
  • Comfortable using TFS (Team Foundation Server) and Azure DevOps workflows
  • Comfortable with Visual Studio and SQL Server Data Tools
  • Exposure to deployment using Azure cloud console and ARM templates
  • Experience in handling Azure AD & RBAC related activities will be a plus
  • Comfortable with basic DevOps concepts like CI/CD, and Infra-automation
