Are you passionate about building scalable processes? Do you have a deep understanding of revenue recognition? If so, then we have an exciting role for you to explore! The Manager, Revenue Accounting System & Operations plays a key role in our revenue recognition and order to cash process. In this role, you will drive efforts to transform our revenue recognition accounting operations and create a scalable process in our journey toward being public company ready. This is a highly visible role that partners cross functionally to achieve our goal of automating revenue recognition and prepare our company for its next phase of growth.

What you will do:

  • Document and continuously update desktop procedures for billing and revenue accounting operations.
  • Partner with technical revenue accounting, revenue operations, IT and finance teams to drive the design and implementation of a new revenue automation tool. This role is accountable for all project phases from initial conceptualization, requirements, technical development, testing, go live and ongoing post-production support.
  • Lead ongoing improvement of existing revenue processes while new platform is being implemented, ensuring strong internal controls, compliance with ASC 606 and company policies.
  • Develop strong stakeholder relationships and maintain effective communication channels.
  • Provide and prioritize requirements across finance stakeholder groups and weigh costs and benefits of automation vs. manual processes.
  • Analyze the impact of the new tool on existing processes, controls, policies and procedures Drive necessary changes to ensure post-production success.
  • Help analyze impacts of GTM initiatives, such as new product offerings, including the design and implementation within key finance systems, close efficiency and management reporting.
  • Support external audit requirements related to specific areas of responsibility.
  • Manage and continue to enhance monthly revenue reporting package to C‐Suite leadership team.
  • Manage and coordinate work of 3rd party providers supporting our process improvement efforts.

What you will bring:

  • Deep knowledge of revenue recognition (ASC 606) and other general accounting concepts. Ability to discuss these topics with non-finance stakeholders
  • Experience with revenue automation systems (NetSuite, RevPro, RAR, RevStream, RevSym, or other).
  • Deep understanding of internal controls (SOX) within the quote to cash process
  • Strong understanding of quote-to-cash processes and systems such as Salesforce and go to market initiatives.
  • Ability to manage a team of cross functional stakeholders, proactively organize and plan project activities and dependencies to achieve success.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks, establish appropriate priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, active listener, tailors communication to the audience.
  • Ability to grasp the big picture and drill down into details when needed.
  • Problem solving and decision-making capacity in a high growth environment.
  • High emotional intelligence, ability to build and sustain relationships at multiple levels within and outside of finance
  • Desire for continuous learning and growth.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Accounting required.
