Here’s what that would mean for you in the Data Architect role.

Caring

  • You’ll provide technical leadership, guide technology choices, and chart an approach to execution that will enable building an enterprise data management framework to support the Kyruus’ next phase of business growth. The candidate will collaborate with peers, engineering leadership and product management to ensure the technology solutions support current and future needs.

Ownership

  • You’ll set data architecture principles, create business and logical models of data, and design / document diagrams and high-level integrated designs for our enterprise data platform. You will do this by understanding the business of the company, and partnering with our product organization, to ensure that the data platform capabilities are aligned with our product and organizational strategy .
  • You’ll provide oversight and governance over data modeling, data transformation, and data storage.
  • You will be responsible for providing ongoing operational discipline around data usage and compliance.
  • You’ll partner with our cloud infrastructure teams in the design, implementation and maintenance of our data pipeline infrastructure.
  • You will be responsible for the evaluation, selection, implementation, and administration of enterprise data management technologies and infrastructure, including ETL/ELT, Data Warehouse and BI/data visualization assets. This includes exploring automation, AI, machine learning, etc.
  • You’ll keep in mind the correlation between data infrastructure and cost, and will make financially sound decisions.
  • You will ensure continued compliance with applicable regulatory and contractual requirements for data security You’ll help plan and coordinate the technical strategy and implementation of our cross-team projects and product deployments.
  • You’ll witness failures - your own and that of others. You’ll use these failures as teaching moments to continuously improve feature velocity, stability, and quality.
  • You’ll take on projects that are highly ambiguous with lots of unknowns. You’ll use your technical expertise and mental resilience to break them down into manageable, iterative improvements, and guide your own work and that of team members to execute on these plans in a timely manner.
  • You’ll interact with customers to provide expertise on technical implementation questions. You’ll also work to get customer feedback to inform our architecture and technical designs.
  • You’ll report to the Vice President Engineering, Data Platform.

  • You will have 10+ years of experience as a data architect (or related role), managing complex data pipelines in a SaaS / cloud infrastructure environment.
  • You’ll use your experience with a range of technologies such as AWS, GCP, BigQuery, ElasticSearch, Databricks, Snowflake, and others, to design scalable solutions that power our data platform.
  • Ideally, you will be familiar with HIPAA and HITRUST compliance.
  • You will have strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills to establish organizational alignment on data architecture.
  • You’ll help the team solve complex technical design problems.

  • Provide complete, actionable, timely, and corrective technical feedback to engineers and Agile teams.
  • Articulate compelling and inspired technical vision and core technology purpose.
